Blackbuck Poaching Case: Jodhpur Court Sets Fresh Hearing On July 4 For Salman Khan’s Appeal
Salman Khan’s appeal in the blackbuck poaching case was to be heard today, but the Jodhpur court has set a new date of hearing - July 4
Last year, Salman Khan was pronounced guilty in the blackbuck poaching case by the Rajasthan High Court. The actor was sentenced to five years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000. This year in February, Salman filed an appeal, challenging the Rajasthan High Court’s verdict, but his hearing date was postponed to April 3.
Now, according to ANI, the hearing has been adjourned for the day and the court has set a new date for fresh hearing on July 4. The actor has been asked to be present at the District and Sessions Court on the said date.

Speaking of the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case, Salman and his Hum Saath Saath Hain co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Mohnish Bahl and Neelam allegedly went on a hunt and killed an endangered species of blackbuck. This happened during the shoot of the film in Jodhpur. Post that, huge protests were held by members of the Bishnoi community and a case was lodged against the actors. However, except Salman, the rest were given a clean chit by the High Court last year.
